The John Ackroyd Charitable Trust is a Dorset-based family grant-maker offering small grants, up to £2,500 for UK registered charities.

The Trust supports projects that:

  • Advance education, including arts and music education.
  • Protect endangered wildlife and habitats.
  • Improve health and wellbeing, particularly for children and young people with chronic or terminal illnesses, their families, and related medical research.
  • Support victims of armed conflict and human rights abuses.
  • Relieve poverty, homelessness, and hardship, especially among young people.
  • Further other charitable purposes at the trustees’ discretion.

 

The Trust tends to favour smaller charities – particularly those working with children and young people.
