Grants of up to £1,500 for schools, charities and not-for-profit organisations improving children’s access to fruit and vegetables.
Funding is available for projects that use healthy food to support the nutrition, wellbeing and development of children and young people across the UK. Grants of £500, £1,000 or £1,500 are awarded through Tesco’s customer voting scheme, with shortlisted projects receiving funding and final grant amounts determined by votes cast in local Tesco stores.
The programme welcomes a wide range of initiatives, including healthy snack provision, breakfast and holiday clubs, cooking sessions, gardening projects, sports club nutrition activities, and opportunities for children to learn about growing and preparing fruit and vegetables.
Applications are assessed by Groundwork, which manages the programme on Tesco’s behalf, with Tesco colleagues helping to select projects for local customer votes. In Scotland, successful projects are supported in partnership with greenspace scotland.
