The Educational Opportunity Foundation supports work that reduces the disadvantage of care experienced young people through education and training.
The Foundation awards grants of between £30,000 to £60,000 per project (maximum £30,000 per year for multi year projects) to UK registered charities with an income normally between £100,000 and £2.5 million.
The Foundation funds which support care experienced young people (under the age of 25 and living in the UK), including unaccompanied young refugees, to achieve any of the following:
- Improve attendance, engagement and attainment in school, alternative education or further education.
- Access and successfully complete higher education.
- Improve employability through training outside of the formal education system.
Deadline: Currently closed. Application opening dates will be confirmed Autumn 2026.
