Tunbridge Wells Borough Council has allocated funding for a Local Climate Action Fund to deliver a program of climate action grants throughout the 2026/27 financial year.

The funding supports climate action by encouraging projects that advance green technology, improve energy efficiency, and contribute to local sustainability goals, aligning economic growth with environmental responsibility.

Schools Climate Action Grant

This grant provides local schools with dedicated funding to support them on their sustainability journey.
Schools are eligible to up to £2,500 of grant funding, to be spent only on decarbonisation interventions such as:

• • Allotment/green house
  • Tree planting/grounds regeneration
  • Solar panels
  • EV charge points
  • LED lights
  • Outdoor space/building improvements
