The grant supports projects that contribute to one or more of the following objectives:
- Promotion of low‑carbon energy
- Reduction of energy poverty
- Increasing energy efficiency
- Promotion of sustainable lifestyles
- Protection of the local environment
KCE is particularly interested in supporting Kent‑based charities, CICs, and community‑focused organisations that:
- Work to reduce energy poverty and increase energy efficiency
- Will use funding to create lasting infrastructure, such as:
- Better insulated homes
- Improved walking and cycling routes
- Greener, more accessible public spaces
- Are active in areas of Kent with higher levels of deprivation
Kent Community Energy will be joining Funding for All as a guest speaker at our upcoming, FREE, Kent & Medway Environmental Funding Conference on 14th May in Gravesend. They’ll be talking in more detail about the KCE Community Grant and will be available to answer questions directly.
