Grants of up to £5,000 are available to community organisations whose work aligns with Kent Community Energy’s mission to support a fairer, greener, and more resilient Kent.

The grant supports projects that contribute to one or more of the following objectives:

  • Promotion of low‑carbon energy
  • Reduction of energy poverty
  • Increasing energy efficiency
  • Promotion of sustainable lifestyles
  • Protection of the local environment

 

KCE is particularly interested in supporting Kent‑based charities, CICs, and community‑focused organisations that:

  • Work to reduce energy poverty and increase energy efficiency
  • Will use funding to create lasting infrastructure, such as:
    • Better insulated homes
    • Improved walking and cycling routes
    • Greener, more accessible public spaces
  • Are active in areas of Kent with higher levels of deprivation
The fund is well suited to organisations delivering practical, community‑led environmental and social impact projects.

Kent Community Energy will be joining Funding for All as a guest speaker at our upcoming, FREE, Kent & Medway Environmental Funding Conference on 14th May in Gravesend. They’ll be talking in more detail about the KCE Community Grant and will be available to answer questions directly.
