The Gardening with Disabilities Trust awards small grants (no maximum or minimum amount specified) to help people continue to experience the joy of gardening, despite disability. Individuals and community groups/gardens supporting people with all kinds of physical or mental abilities, in all parts of the UK, to continue to actively garden are eligible to apply.

Typically,  the Trust can pay for:

  • Raised beds
  • Poly Tunnels
  • Greenhouses
  • Tools
  • Small-scale garden adaptations. e.g. access pathways.
  • Plants or Shrubs
  • Compost

 

Costs associated with decking, fences, gates, tree removal, seating, turfing and ongoing maintenance are not eligible.

 

Deadline: Currently closed. Applications are accepted from March to May, and from September to November. The Trust is unable to review or consider any applications received outside of these dates.
