Canterbury City Council’s Resettlement Grant awards funding of up to £10,000 to projects supporting families arriving under the UK and Afghan resettlement schemes.
Funding is given by the Home Office Integration Tariff, and can only be used for projects and activities that support these families living in the Canterbury district through the following schemes:
- UK resettlement scheme
- Afghan relocation and assistance programme
- Afghan citizens resettlement scheme
- Community sponsorship schemes
Your project should meet one or more of the set project priorities. Up to 5% of the budget can be allocated to core costs such as day-to-day management, utilities, and office support.
Your project needs to:
- Support the mental health and wellbeing of children and young people
- Enhance the learning and development of young people
- Promote the mental health and well-being of adults
- Help adults improve their English skills and their understanding of life in the UK
