National Lottery Project Grants is Arts Council England’s open access programme for arts, museums and libraries projects. The fund supports a broad range of high quality creative and cultural projects that benefit people living in England. Individual practitioners, community and cultural organisations can apply for between £1,000 and £100,000.
Activities supported through Project Grants must have a primary outcome that focuses on one or more of these disciplines:
- Combined arts – including festivals and carnivals
- Dance
- Libraries – for activity that delivers against at least one of the four Universal Library Offers
- Literature
- Music
- Museums and collections
- Theatre
- Visual arts
At present, National Lottery Project Grants is prioritising the following types of projects:
- Supporting Grassroots Music
Specifically supporting rehearsal and recording studios, promoters, festivals, and venues for live and electronic music performance
- Unlocking Collections
Enabling museums to develop their collections-based work and increase public engagement with, and use of, their collections - Universal Library Offers
Supporting public libraries with their delivery of the four Universal Library Offers: Reading, Health and Wellbeing, Digital and Information, and Culture and Creativity.
